Cory Stevens

Bringing scale and scope into frame and focus

Cory Stevens was born  in Vancouver in 1979. After he worked as a graphic designer from 2006 to 2012 he moved to Munich and is now active as an independent art photographer. His works were shown in numerous on and offline media such as the huffington post or the magazine for design designboom.

„Deconstructed Reimaginated“ is a series of digital abstractions. Cory Stevens uses architectural fragments which he re-assembles into new structures. The fragments were often taken from walls, ceilings or front elements. Stevens takes his inspiration from his childhood, remembering the views a kaleidoscopes offered. The originals, often famous monuments and buildings, are completely alienated and transformed into entirely new geometrical designs.
